Mental on 1xBet Morocco - the gothic asylum from Nolimit City
Mental by Nolimit City is one of the most extreme slots in the global video-slot catalog. Released in 2021, it asserted what has become the studio's recognizable identity: dark aesthetics, complex proprietary mechanics (the famous studio "x" series), 10/10 maximum volatility and very high payout ceilings. The visual universe transports the player to a 1920s gothic asylum — degraded whitewashed walls, flickering bulbs, period medical instruments, and Mr. Hatter, the recurring character who haunts the corridors. The slot isn't designed for casual sessions: it targets experienced players who know extreme-volatility slot dynamics and accept long sessions for big-win hunting. It opens directly from the online slots library, with no prior installation step.

Architecture and mechanics
Mental runs on a 5-reel × 5-row grid with a ways-to-win system. Wins form as soon as 3 matching symbols appear on consecutive reels starting from the left, with no constrained vertical positions. The high symbols are a gallery of asylum figures — the nurse, the doctor, the patient, the broken clock — rounded out by runic 9, 10, J, Q, K, A characters for low values.
Three of Nolimit City's proprietary mechanics structure the slot. xWays transforms certain low symbols into high multiplier symbols occupying 2-5 positions on the same reel. xSplit divides standard symbols into two on the same position. xNudge slides partially visible Wilds to the full position with a growing multiplier. The combination of all three on a single spin produces the most paying configurations.
The signature bonus, Lobotomy Spins, triggers with three Scatters. The player then chooses one of three Free Spins modes. The Asylum offers 5 free spins with guaranteed WildiumZ. The Cure offers 7 free spins with a growing global multiplier. The Lockdown offers 9 free spins with guaranteed xWays — it's the mode that statistically maximizes big-win chances. The choice radically changes the bonus's mathematical profile.
The default RTP is 96.08% according to Nolimit City, with three lower-RTP versions (94.07%, 87.07%, 82.07%) by jurisdiction — the sector's widest range. Volatility is extreme (10/10) with a ~22% hit frequency. The theoretical maximum payout reaches 66,666x stake — the "666" being a symbolic reference to horror imagery. Nolimit City offers several Bonus Buy levels at progressive prices.

FAQ — Mental on 1xBet Morocco
What's the RTP of Mental?
Nolimit City lists the default RTP at 96.08%, in the sector average. Three lower-RTP versions (94.07%, 87.07%, 82.07%) exist by jurisdiction and operator — the gap is the sector's widest. The value shown in the game's interface remains the reference to verify.
Which Moroccan banks are supported for deposits?
CIH Bank and Attijariwafa Bank handle the bulk of transactions. Al Barid Bank covers areas with lighter banking presence, Cash Plus supports physical cash deposits, and Lbankalik works well for smaller mobile top-ups.
Why is Mental considered an "extreme" slot?
Three factors justify the "extreme" label often given to Mental. First, the 10/10 volatility on Nolimit City's internal scale — it's the maximum rating, indicating sessions are strongly polarized between long losing streaks and very-big-win events. Then, the 66,666x stake max ceiling — one of the highest in the global video-slot catalog, requiring very long sessions to give a statistical chance of reaching it. Finally, mechanical complexity — the combination xWays + xSplit + xNudge + Enhanced Cells + Lobotomy Spins with three modes represents one of the sector's richest architectures. The slot demands good mechanics understanding to be fully appreciated.
What currency does the game use?
Balances display in the account's chosen currency — typically MAD for Morocco-based players. Bets and payouts scale automatically to the currency, with no manual setup required.
Which Lobotomy Spins mode to choose?
The choice depends on player profile. The Lockdown (9 free spins with guaranteed xWays) statistically maximizes big-win chances — it's the default choice for big-win hunting. The Asylum (5 free spins with guaranteed WildiumZ) offers more result stability thanks to sticky Wilds, which reassures cautious players. The Cure (7 free spins with growing global multiplier) is mathematically intermediate but offers explosive-win potential on later spins when the multiplier reaches its peak. For a player discovering Mental, The Asylum is probably the most accessible; for an experienced player aiming at big wins, The Lockdown remains the optimal choice.
What's the difference between Mental and Hand of Anubis by Hacksaw Gaming?
Both slots share the dark inspiration but from different studios with radically different mechanics. Mental by Nolimit City has a gothic asylum theme on a 5×5 ways-to-win grid, xWays + xSplit + xNudge mechanics, three-mode Lobotomy Spins, 10/10 extreme volatility, with a 66,666x stake ceiling. Hand of Anubis by Hacksaw Gaming has an Egyptian theme on a 5×6 cluster pays grid, Soul Orbs mechanic with progressive multipliers, classic Free Spins, very-high 5/5 volatility, with a 10,000x stake ceiling. Mental offers a roughly six-times-higher ceiling and more complex mechanics, Hand of Anubis is more accessible with a more rhythmic experience. The choice between them depends on desired excitement type: Mental for highly polarized sessions hunting rare peaks, Hand of Anubis for continuous rhythm with moderate potential.
