Basketball pre-match betting: Morocco, the NBA and the EuroLeague
Basketball pits two teams of five against each other. Each team attacks the opposing basket and defends its own, and the one with more points at the end of playing time wins. FIBA and NBA rules value baskets the same way: 1 point for a successful free throw, 2 for a basket from the two-point area and 3 for one from the three-point area.
Moroccan basketball: the Division Excellence and FUS Rabat in Africa
The FRMBB, Morocco's basketball federation, runs the men's top flight, known as the Division Excellence. It has settled on 12 teams for 2026/27: the top eight will play off for the national title, and three clubs will go down. The format is transitional, as the federation plans to launch a national professional league in the 2027/28 season.
FUS Rabat (Fath Union Sport) won the 2025/26 title with a 3-0 sweep of AS Salé in the best-of-five final: 67-44, 61-58 and 79-71.
In 2026, the sixth season of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), the same club flew Morocco's flag. Rabat hosted their Sahara Conference group phase from 24 April to 3 May, and FUS made the eight-team play-offs held in Kigali from 22 to 31 May. Their run ended in the quarter-finals against Rwanda's RSSB Tigers, who won the first game by 23 points, lost the second 99-98 and went on to lift the title.

Division Excellence games in Morocco: the FRMBB scheduled round 1 of the 2026/27 season for 11 and 12 October 2026.
Upcoming NBA match-ups: the 81st edition of the NBA regular season tips off on 20 October 2026 and ends on 11 April 2027, with 82 games for each of the 30 teams. Group results in the NBA Cup, held within the season, set two games per team, played from 4 to 10 December; the Cup final is in Indianapolis on Friday 11 December 2026. The New York Knicks won the 2026 championship 4-1 against the San Antonio Spurs in the Finals, the club's first title since 1973.
EuroLeague matches: 20 clubs play a home-and-away round robin of 38 rounds, 380 games in total. The season got going on Thursday 24 September 2026 and the regular season ends on 16 April 2027, when six clubs go straight to the playoffs and four more, ranked 7th to 10th, go through a Play-In. The Final Four on 28 and 30 May 2027, semi-finals then the final, closes the campaign. Olympiacos are the holders, and the field includes the Emirati club Dubai Basketball, also the reigning ABA League (Adriatic League) champion.
European national leagues are listed too, among them Spain's Liga ACB.
Regular time or overtime: reading a basketball market
Game length depends on the rulebook: FIBA plays four quarters of 10 minutes, the NBA four of 12, and both allow 15 minutes at half-time. A tie after the fourth quarter leads to 5-minute overtimes, repeated until the deadlock is broken. Regular time can therefore end level, while overtime decides the winner of a single game.
The site's betting rules accept basketball bets on regular time (48 minutes as four 12-minute quarters or 40 minutes as four 10-minute quarters; NCAA: two 20-minute halves) and on regular time including overtime, labelled "Including Overtime". The event or the market tells you which applies:
"1X2 In Regular Time" offers X, W1 and W2 and is settled on the regular-time score, so a tie makes X the winner;
"Team Wins" has only W1 and W2, with no draw; in an event labelled "Including Overtime", that label ties it to the result after overtime;
"Regular Time Double Chance" covers regular time only, and the combinations on offer (1X, 12, 2X) vary by game;
handicap and total bets on the fourth quarter or on the second half are settled without overtime, including in events that carry the "Including Overtime" label.
Most games in the event lists also carry "1 no OT" and "2 no OT", plus a draw, "X", next to the plain "1" and "2". When regular time ends level, a bet that there will be overtime wins and a bet against it loses.
Line and Live: before and during the game

In play, a team in possession must get a shot away within 24 seconds, a limit shared by FIBA and the NBA. FIBA counts team fouls quarter by quarter: beyond four, each personal foul by the defending team on a player who is not shooting sends the other side to the line for two free throws, and overtime fouls are added to the fourth quarter's tally.
