Floorball betting in Morocco: Nordic leagues, the Champions Cup and Tampere 2026
Floorball is an indoor team sport played with plastic sticks and a light ball pierced with holes. Six players a side are on the floor at once: five outfield players and a goalkeeper who defends without a stick. The rink measures 40 × 20 m inside a low board, each goal stands 2.85 m from the end board, and the only unit of the score is the goal. In Switzerland the game is called unihockey.

The International Floorball Federation, the IFF, brings together 80 national associations. Its flagship event is the World Floorball Championships, played every December, men in even years and women in odd years. At club level it stages the Champions Cup for the champions of Czechia, Finland, Sweden and Switzerland, with the EuroFloorball Cup and the EuroFloorball Challenge beneath it.
Four domestic leagues supply most of the Line: the Svenska Superligan (SSL) in Sweden, the F-liiga in Finland, the Unihockey Prime League in Switzerland and the Czech Superliga. Each runs a regular season from September into February or March, followed by play-offs, and each champion earns a place in the next Champions Cup. The Swiss federation is called swiss unihockey, and the Swiss women are the reigning world champions after their 2–0 win over Czechia in Ostrava on 14 December 2025, a second title after 2005.
Sixty minutes on a stopped clock, then sudden death 🥅
A match is three periods of twenty minutes of effective play, and the clock halts at every whistle, so the sixty minutes on the scoreboard last a good deal longer in the hall. In league play a draw is a result in its own right. In play-offs and at the world championship a tie is broken by ten minutes of sudden-death overtime, over at the first goal, and then by a penalty shootout if nobody has scored. Scores run high: the bronze match of the 2025 women's world championship ended 14–4 for Finland against Sweden.
Season 2026/27: the confirmed dates 📅
Two dates frame the season for a follower in Morocco: 5 December 2026, when the world championship opens in Tampere, and 13 December, when its final is played. The Champions Cup rounds and the Swiss league fill the months around them.

Tampere's opening match on Saturday 5 December sends Finland, the defending champions, against Switzerland; both sit in group A with Norway and Latvia, group B holds Germany, Czechia, Slovakia and Sweden, and Estonia, Denmark, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, the Philippines, Canada and Slovenia complete the sixteen. In Malmö in 2024 Czechia took the bronze with an 8–2 win over Latvia, and Switzerland, beaten by Latvia in the quarter-finals, finished fifth. Four Swiss clubs are in this season's Champions Cup: Floorball Thurgau and HCR Winterthur among the men, Zug United and Wizards Bern Burgdorf among the women.
Competition, match, market: reading the Line from Morocco 🔎
The Line is arranged from the top down under Floorball. The competition comes first: a league, the Champions Cup or the world championship. Beneath it, each match carries its date and a start time shown in Rabat time. A handicap of −3.5 needs a win by four goals or more, while +3.5 survives a defeat by three. With scores this high, the total and the handicap carry most of the action, and the correct score is offered only rarely. Where the card allows, a team total and an odd-or-even bet on the goal count sit alongside the main markets.

How did Finland win the last men's world title?
At the 2024 championship in Malmö, held from 7 to 15 December, Finland came back from 0–4 in the final to beat Sweden 5–4 in overtime, Sweden's first home defeat at a world championship. That is the title Finland defends in Tampere from 5 December 2026.
Are Champions Cup matches the same length as league matches?
Not this season. The IFF has set Champions Cup 2026/27 matches at three periods of fifteen minutes instead of twenty, so a total on one of those cards covers forty-five minutes of play rather than sixty. Every round is played home and away, and the men's and women's finals fall on 23 and 24 January 2027.
Which countries have won a medal at the world championships?
Only five in the history of the event: Czechia, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland. Every other team in Tampere, from Germany and Latvia to Thailand and Canada, is still waiting for a first medal.
Is floorball played at the World Games?
Yes, since 2017. Outside the World Games, the IFF calendar is built around the world championship every December and the club Champions Cup, and both appear on the Line as competitions with their own outright markets.
