Cross-country skiing betting in Morocco: World Cup, Tour de Ski and Falun 2027
The cross-country skiing World Cup runs from late November to late March across twelve European venues, and every race in it settles on one of two things: the clock, when skiers set off one at a time, or the finish line, when the field starts together or races through sprint heats. Two techniques share the calendar, classic, with the skis held in parallel tracks, and free, where skiers skate outside them. Men and women cover the same distances, 10, 20 and 50 km, with thirty individual starts each between Ruka on 27 November 2026 and Ulricehamn on 21 March 2027.
Morocco has snow in the Atlas but no cross-country racing calendar of its own, so this page is a viewing window from Casablanca, Rabat or Tangier onto the Nordic and Alpine tracks. Below the text, 1xBet lists the World Cup stages, the Tour de Ski and the Falun championships already open for pre-match betting. Biathlon and ski jumping sit in their own sections, and so does the alpine skiing line.
How a race is decided: the start first, the technique second ⛷️
The distance says how long the race lasts; the start says how to read the result.
Interval start, 10 km: skiers leave one by one, and the final order is known only when the last starter has finished.
Mass start, 20 km and 50 km: the whole field goes at once and the first across the line wins; the 50 km is reserved for Oslo-Holmenkollen and the Falun championships.
Skiathlon, 20 km: half the distance in classic, half in free, with a ski change in between; a mass start, so the line decides.
Pursuit, 15 km: the running Tour de Ski standings set the start order, and the first home wins the stage.
Sprint: a time-trial qualification over a course of no more than 1.8 km, then knockout heats up to a final judged on the line. The qualification has its own ranking before the heats begin.
5 km heat mass start: the season's new format, a free-technique race run in heats.
Relay, team sprint and mixed relay: national teams, one skier after another; the nation whose last leg crosses first takes the win.
Points from each race feed the season standings. The overall ranking awards the big crystal globe, the distance and sprint rankings award the small globes, and results added up by country produce the Nations Cup. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo took the men's overall title in 2025/26 and Jessie Diggins the women's, before retiring, so no defending champion lines up on the women's side this winter. The same two skiers won the 2025/26 Tour de Ski, a record fifth for Klæbo and a third for Diggins.
The Skiing line on 1xBet: from season to market
The section narrows step by step. The season holds the competitions: each World Cup stage is filed under its host town, the Tour de Ski and the Falun championships are separate competitions, and the long-term bets, the globes, the Tour classification and the world titles, have their own shelf without a race card. Inside a competition, a race is identified by its date, category and technique, and opening it shows the markets. The full pre-match line follows the same path for every other sport.
Bet, question, settlement 🧾
Each market asks one question, and the official FIS classification answers it.
Bet | Question it asks | Settled by |
|---|---|---|
Race winner | Who crosses the line first, or sets the fastest time in an interval start? | Official race result |
Podium | Does this skier finish in the top three? | Final placing, sprint heats included |
Top 6 / top 10 | Does this name appear among the first six or first ten? | Final placing |
Head-to-head | Which of two named skiers finishes ahead of the other? | Order between those two only, whoever wins the race |
Tour de Ski stage winner | Who wins the day's stage? | Stage result, separate from the Tour standings |
World Cup winner | Who lifts the big globe at Ulricehamn? | Overall standings after the last race on 21 March 2027 |
Best nation | Which country wins the relay, or places its first skier ahead of every other country's? | Official classification of the event |
Sprint qualification winner | Who clocks the fastest qualification time before the heats? | Qualification ranking, published before the heats |
A long-term bet is settled on the classification published after its last race: the Ulricehamn final for the globes, the Alpe Cermis climb for the Tour, the relevant Falun race for a world title. Once the first skier is on the course, the race card leaves this section and carries on in live.
Season 2026/27: from Ruka to Ulricehamn 📅

27–29 November | Ruka | 10 km classic interval start, classic sprint, 20 km free mass start |
4–6 December | Trondheim | 10 km classic, free sprint, 20 km skiathlon |
11–13 December | Davos | 5 km heat mass start, free sprint, team sprint |

22–24 January | Engadin | Mixed relay, free sprint, 20 km free mass start |
29–31 January | Toblach | 10 km free, free sprint, 20 km classic mass start |

19–21 March | Ulricehamn, final | 10 km free, free sprint, 20 km classic mass start, then the globes |
The Tour de Ski is scored on cumulative time: stage times are added together, bonus seconds earned in the sprints are subtracted, and the standings freeze at the top of the Alpe Cermis. The 2027 edition starts in Les Rousses, in the French Jura, the first Tour ever to set off from France, and its winner collects a 300-point bonus in the World Cup on top of the stage points.
Live, on the phone, in Rabat time ⏱️
From the first start, the race moves to live cross-country skiing. In an interval start every split shifts the prices; in a sprint every heat removes names and, depending on the event, reopens markets before the final. All twelve venues are in Europe, and Morocco keeps GMT all year round, so the races fall in daytime, Rabat time. On a phone, the same section and the same live cards open in the browser, and the rest of the live programme sits one tap away between two races.
Morocco: a federation, an Olympic start and an account in dirhams
Moroccan skiing is run by the Royal Moroccan Federation of Skiing and Mountain Sports (FRMSSM), based in Marrakech and established by decree on 4 April 1964. At the 2026 Winter Olympics Morocco had a cross-country skier on the start list: Abderrahim Kemmissa raced the 10 km free at Tesero, in Val di Fiemme, on 13 February 2026 and finished 103rd in 27:54.5. No cross-country event exists on the domestic calendar, so a Moroccan follower meets the sport through the World Cup alone. An account with 1xBet is kept in Moroccan dirham (MAD), funded through CIH, Attijari, Al Barid, Lbankalik or Cash Plus, and stakes are entered in the same currency as the balance; opening an account is the first step.

Cross-country skiing from Morocco: bettors' questions
Where and when is the new 5 km heat mass start raced?
The format appears twice in 2026/27, both times in free technique: at the Davos stage on 11–13 December and at Oberstdorf on 6 January, as a stage of the Tour de Ski. The race is run in heats, so the line, not the clock, produces the result.
How many points does a World Cup race winner collect?
An individual race pays 100 points to the winner, 95 to the runner-up and 90 to third, then the scale falls to a single point for 50th place. A stage of the Tour de Ski or of the Ulricehamn final is worth less, 50 points for first down to 1 for 30th, because the stage race adds its own bonus at the end.
Who holds the record for overall World Cup titles?
Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, with six big globes, the latest in 2025/26. On the women's side the record belongs to Elena Välbe, who won the overall classification five times.
Which nations led the cross-country medal table at the 2026 Winter Olympics?
Norway finished top with 7 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze medals, ahead of Sweden on 5 gold, 4 silver and 1 bronze. France was third with three silvers, all won by Mathis Desloges in the skiathlon, the 10 km free and the relay. Klæbo alone took 6 gold medals, from the sprint to the 50 km.
What is the day-by-day programme at Falun 2027?
At Lugnet, between 22 February and 7 March 2027: sprints on 25 February, the men's skiathlon on 27 February and the women's on 28 February, the 10 km on 2 March, the team sprint on 3 March, the men's relay on 4 March and the women's on 5 March, then the 50 km, men on 6 March and women on 7 March.
