How the Stratford page is laid out
Area of the page | What sits there |
|---|---|
Header | start time and date, the track name, then the country followed by the racecourse |
Search by market | a box for jumping to a market by its name |
Winner | one horse per row, number (№) and name on the left, decimal price on the right |
The list is sorted by price, lowest first, which puts the favourite at the top and the outsiders at the bottom. Picking a horse puts it on your slip, where it can stand alone or join other selections.
Stratford in an accumulator
An accumulator links events that have no bearing on each other (section 4.2), so a race from this meeting can sit next to one from a different track. The stake is multiplied by every price, and a single beaten horse loses the lot. If one of the races is cancelled, it drops out of the calculation and the accumulator is settled on what remains (section 3, point 10).
The time that counts
The time on the page is a guide. Bets are settled on the real start time, as fixed by the organiser's official documents (section 9, points 1 and 2). After the off, a pre-match bet is settled at odds of 1 (point 6); races offered while they are being run appear under live horse racing betting.
Cards from other racecourses are in all pre-match horse racing.
