Morocco. Botola 2: the 16 clubs of 2026/27, fixtures and betting

Botola Pro 2 is the second professional division of Moroccan football ⚽, one level below the Botola Pro and one above the Division Nationale, the amateur championship run by the LNFA. The competition is organised by the Ligue Nationale de Football Professionnel (LNFP), which operates under the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF).

On 20 August 2026 the LNFP confirmed that the 2026/27 season would keep the existing format: 16 clubs playing each other twice over 30 rounds, with the first half made up of 15 rounds. At the end of the season the best-placed clubs move up to the Botola Pro, and some of the places are decided in play-offs. The league has also made clear that the final ranking alone is not enough: a club must meet the LNFP's requirements to be promoted.

Who is in Botola Pro 2 this season

The summer brought five new faces. Olympique de Safi, bottom of the Botola Pro with 22 points, went down on 2 July 2026 after a 1:1 draw with Olympique Dcheira; US Yacoub El Mansour, 15th on 30 points, lasted a single season in the top flight; and Olympique Dcheira, 14th, lost their play-off against Amal Tiznit. IZ Khémisset and Olympique de Khouribga came up from the Division Nationale, IZ Khémisset returning to the second tier after three seasons at amateur level.

Two cities have a pair of clubs in the division: Oujda with MC Oujda and USM Oujda, and Rabat with Stade Marocain and US Yacoub El Mansour. Kénitra AC and US Boujaad held on to their places through relegation play-offs against Division Nationale sides, US Boujaad beating Rapide Oued Zem 1:0 away and 4:1 at home, and Kénitra AC getting past AS Mansouria 0:0 and 2:0. JS Massira also stay, after losing their promotion play-off.

Round 1 on 26 and 27 September

The fixture list was drawn on Friday 28 August 2026 at the Complexe Mohammed VI de football in Maâmora, straight after the first-division draw. The Botola season officially starts on Thursday 24 September with the top flight, and Botola Pro 2 follows that weekend:

The Oujda derby therefore comes on the very first weekend, while Olympique de Safi, relegated from the top flight, open against US Boujaad, one of the two sides that survived the relegation play-offs.

2025/26: three clubs promoted

Moghreb Tétouan won Botola 2 in 2025/26 with 53 points, level with Wydad Témara. Témara led 53 to 50 going into the last round, but lost 0:1 to USM Oujda on 5 July while Tétouan beat Stade Marocain 1:0. Both were already promoted by then: Wydad Témara sealed it on 20 June with a 2:1 home win over Raja Béni Mellal, two rounds from the end, and Moghreb Tétouan on 27 June with a 2:0 win at Racing AC, going back up after a single season in the second tier.

Amal Tiznit, third on 46 points, took the last ticket in a play-off against Olympique Dcheira, 14th in the Botola Pro: 0:0 on 18 July in El Jadida and 1:1 on 21 July in Berrechid. It is the club's first time in the top flight, one year after coming up from the Division Nationale, the same double jump Wydad Témara made. JS Massira, fourth on 44 points, went out to Union Touarga (1:1, then 0:3). At the bottom, Racing AC (18 points) and Raja Béni Mellal (30 points) dropped to the Division Nationale.
