NHL in Morocco: hockey betting on the 2026/2027 season
The NHL is the leading professional ice hockey league in the world, with 32 clubs based in the United States and Canada. The league is divided into an Eastern and a Western Conference, and each conference into two divisions: Atlantic and Metropolitan in the East, Central and Pacific in the West. The regular season sorts the field and fills sixteen play-off places; the Stanley Cup play-offs then run as knockout series until a single club is left holding the trophy π
Carolina Hurricanes hold the Cup. The club beat Vegas Golden Knights in the 2026 final and starts the defence of its title on the first night of the new season. The membership of the league is unchanged: no expansion club joins for 2026/2027 and no franchise has changed city, so the same 32 teams that closed the last season start the next one.
The 2026/2027 season stage by stage: the road to the Stanley Cup
The regular season runs from Tuesday 29 September 2026 to Saturday 10 April 2027, and each club plays 84 games in it instead of the 82 of previous seasons. Every point gathered between those two dates goes into the conference standings, and the standings alone decide which clubs are still playing in the spring.
Stage | Dates | What it settles |
|---|---|---|
Pre-season | Before 29 September 2026 | Four exhibition games per club |
Regular season | 29 September 2026 β 10 April 2027 | 84 games per club; qualification for the play-offs |
Stanley Cup play-offs | Spring 2027 | 16 clubs in knockout series, first to four wins |
Stanley Cup Final | June 2027 | The trophy and the season's champion |
From the opening round to the final every series has the same shape: the first club to four wins advances, and a series that goes the distance ends in a seventh game. Once a pairing is known, its games appear on this page one by one, each with its own schedule slot and its own prices.
Key dates of 2026/2027: opening night, stadium games and the Global Series π
The champion opens the season at home. Carolina raise the banner of the 2026 Stanley Cup before the game against Florida Panthers on 29 September, and four more games follow the same evening across the two conferences. From there the calendar hands out its special dates through the winter, listed below.
Event | Date | Game and venue |
|---|---|---|
Opening night | 29 September 2026 | Carolina Hurricanes β Florida Panthers, first game of the season |
Heritage Classic | 25 October 2026 | Winnipeg Jets β Montreal Canadiens, Princess Auto Stadium, Winnipeg |
Global Series, Helsinki | 12 and 14 November 2026 | Carolina Hurricanes β Seattle Kraken, two games in Finland |
Global Series, DΓΌsseldorf | 18 and 20 December 2026 | Ottawa Senators β Chicago Blackhawks, PSD Bank Dome, Germany |
Winter Classic | 31 December 2026 | Utah Mammoth β Colorado Avalanche, Rice-Eccles Stadium, Salt Lake City |
All-Star Weekend | 5β6 February 2027 | UBS Arena, Long Island, New York |
Stadium Series | 20 February 2027 | Dallas Stars β Vegas Golden Knights, AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas |
Three of these dates leave the usual arenas for stadiums: Winnipeg in October, Salt Lake City on the last day of the year and Arlington in February. The Global Series takes two pairs of regular-season games to Europe, Carolina against Seattle in Helsinki and Ottawa against Chicago in DΓΌsseldorf, played on European time rather than North American.
Following the NHL from Morocco: a league for the small hours π²π¦
Ice hockey has no roots in Morocco. There is almost no ice in the country and no club tradition to build on, and the National Hockey League reaches Moroccan screens the way the other North American leagues do: through fans who follow American and Canadian sport as a whole. This page is written for that audience, and for anyone who wants a live market open when the rest of the line has gone quiet.
Games are played in the evening in the United States and Canada, which is the middle of the night in Morocco: an East Coast face-off comes around midnight here and a West Coast one closer to dawn, so most results are in by breakfast. A pre-match bet placed before going to bed is settled by morning; for a game followed as it happens, the live hockey section keeps its markets open through the night, period after period. The Ice Hockey section of the pre-match line lists the full schedule of the league next to every other hockey competition on offer.
NHL at 1xBet: pre-match, live and season-long bets
Each game on the schedule has a pre-match page of its own. The hockey offer there is the usual one: the winner, the total goals and the handicap, over the whole game or a single period. Play-off series are added to the line the moment the pairings are set, and the prices keep moving until the puck drops.
For a position held over the whole season, the outright section lists the winner of the Stanley Cup, the winner of each conference and the winner of each division. An outright placed in the autumn runs until the game that settles it, which for the Cup means a night in June.
A 1xBet account in Morocco runs in dirhams (MAD); money comes in and goes out through CIH Bank, Attijari (L'bankalik), Al Barid Bank and Cash Plus. Given the hours, the phone is the natural screen for this league, and the mobile version of 1xBet puts the hockey line, the live section and the cashier on one screen. The NHL itself is one entry in the pre-match line across all sports, listed with the rest of the day's programme.
How the 2026 Stanley Cup was won, and where the finalists go next π
The 2026 final ran from 2 to 14 June between Carolina Hurricanes and Vegas Golden Knights, and Carolina took the series 4:2. It was the club's second Stanley Cup, twenty years after the first in 2006, won under head coach Rod Brind'Amour. The Conn Smythe Trophy, the award for the most valuable player of the play-offs, went to Jordan Staal, the Carolina captain.
Carolina's title defence passes through Helsinki in November; Vegas has the Stadium Series in Arlington in February. Through the winter the main page of 1xBet Morocco lists what is on today across every sport, NHL nights included, and this page is where the league's own games, prices and results are kept, night after night.
